What kind of sites do you design?
I design informational or promotional sites for small and medium business and nonprofit organizations. I have also been involved with personal projects and am happy to discuss any project you have in mind.

Can you take over maintenance of my existing web site?
Perhaps.  A lot depends on the scope of your needs.  If you want someone to manage your online store or provide maintenance for your e-commence site, that is beyond the scope of my workload.  If, however you want someone to add or modify your existing site or provide updates and maintenance of your informational or promotional business or non-profit site, those are services I can definitely offer.

I already have an existing web site.  Can you change the “look and feel”?
Often trying to modify existing code for a web site is much more labor intensive than creating a new site from scratch.  It is often more economical to create a new site retaining wanted design elements and creating new designs and navigation as needed.  This is what I usually recommend.

How long does it take to complete a project?
Although some small projects are completed within a week or two, it typically takes about 30 days to finish a site (from the time a design is approved and I have all the content in hand). Naturally each project has its own timetable depending on scope and complexity.

What kind of payment do you accept?
Most clients pay by check but you can also use PayPal to pay online.  I’m sorry but I do not accept credit cards at this time. If you need help with PayPal, please check here.

When do I have to pay you?
For the typical project, I ask for 1/3 of the project fee when the contract is accepted, 1/3 when the design is approved, and the balance when the site is completed. Projects that are priced at $800 or less require 1/2 payment up-front.

Hourly services are billed at a rate of $55 per hour calculated in 15 minute increments due at the time of service. For those sites requiring updates on a regular basis a monthly maintenance agreement can be arranged.
